Budgens, known for its upmarket, fresh-led stores often dubbed “the Waitrose of convenience,” now surprises shoppers with a more value-focused approach in Rowley Regis, Birmingham. The 24-hour store, formerly a Co-op and now under entrepreneur Mohan Samy, is under 3,000 sq ft and emphasizes affordability with bold special offers, £5 meal deals, £1 confectionery, and Tesco’s Jack’s discount range—marking a clear shift from Budgens’ traditional image.
